...But I bought one because it looked awesome, and it looks even more awesome in real life. I'm pretty sure that unless you were some sort of wierdy ninja master specially trained in the arts of using bizarre weapons, this thing would probably be more of a menace to the user than anyone else.

But man it looks cool hanging on the display-rack.

I bought these for my bro for Christmas and I must say he is going to LOVE them as a Batman fan. They are the real deal, they feel heavy (not too heavy) and the edges are sharp, no doubt. The pouch it comes in seems to be quality as well.

For the price (if you have a big Batman fan) go ahead and buy this, they will love it. I am not sure what they can do with it besides maybe display it in a mancave, but nonetheless, it's pretty boss.

I originally purchased this item as a toy for my nephew, but when it arrived and I inspected it, I came to realized this is not a toy. These set of batarangs are very sharp and made out of a very strong metal, which makes this item one of my favorites. The pouch is made out of a strong material that would not tear apart when inserting the batarangs in it. The price for this item is absolutely prefect.

This is a must for crazy campers like me. We used it to zip-line. I am not responsible for anyone who hurts and/or kills themselves from me saying that. It's fun, but should be left to people who know what they're doing (and have health insurance).

I've also used it to scale steep hillsides with trees. It's so fun and since it comes with rope, it's a complete package of fun.

Ok let's be honest about these... No way in all of hell are you going to climb something with these. They look cool, the metal's very sturdy, the spikes are relatively sharp and could be sharpened more... The foot spikes may work if there was a better way to strap them to your feet, but the hand claws would crush your hand bones under your own weight, no way someone's going to climb with these. Better off with your bare hands.

Get what you pay for - Saden Shard - the lost
These are really just a novelty item and there priced that way. If you actually want something that will aid you in either walking on soft terrain or climbing something I'd suggest looking into buy either a pair of crampons, or tree spurs. Both items are different, crampons are closest to what these represent but the spurs will actually help you climb.

I ordered this bracer set for a Batman Costume.
Less than a day after i had them i noticed how one of the spike plates was actually beginning to separate from the leather.

To remedy this, i pounded all the rivets on the things flat to ensure they were holding tight, then i poked holes down the lengths of the spike plates and wove thin black leather string down the face and in-between the spikes in an X pattern.

The end result makes the gauntlets seem really well held-together.

Also, to remedy the issue in the first review, i cut the elastic strap nearest the wrist and sewed on some velcro to join it better to my forearms.

Happy, but not totally satisfied - D. Benway -
I bought these for my Halloween costume and they looked great! I got lots of compliments. However, they are very loose. The elastic straps seem designed to go over bulky clothing (i.e.- a leather jacket as depicted on their box) and the one adjustable strap is not enough to hold them in place. One of the elastic straps came unsewn from the leather in the first 15 minutes I was wearing it, also. Lastly, be careful, the points on the bracers are sharper than I had anticipated. On the plus side, the set I received was actually the Dark Knight licensed bracers. Overall, they looked great and served the purpose, but were not entirely what I was hoping for.

im not a sword enthusiast as most that purchase this type of item are; however i got it as part of a combat kit i keep for emergencies, and i must admit this was a nice addition for the price. as others said its not a dueling sword you arent gonna fend off many blade wielding attackers, however it does what it needs to.

i did have to sharpen it with one of those hand sharpeners, a few passes and it was good enough. the tip is extremely sharp out of the box, as are the serrated edges.

however even without a razor sharp blade it easily passed the watermelon test. one quick swipe and a clean cut straight through. (also an apple core. tossed and sliced in mid air)

only problem, thats been mentioned before, is that the cord wraped handle is display purposes only. my first no contact swing caused it to almost come out of my hand; my advice? get some grip tape (like for hockey sticks) and wrap it OVER the cord, ensuring complete handle coverage and you will fid that this is one decent last resort/close quarters/stealth weapon.

Worse than I expected - The Doc - USA
This is not a sword, it is a cheap knockoff. It has a certain sharpness to it, but not enough to make it efficient at doing what a sword is supposed to do. It is also very poorly constructed. Buyer beware. Cheap Chinese knockoff, looks cool - but is useless as a weapon - useless.
